1 to 1 1/2 lbs broccoli florets, washed, dried, and cut in 1-inch pieces
Extra-virgin olive oil
Freshly ground pepper
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
- Place the broccoli in a mixing bowl and add a few tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss until all the broccoli florets are generously coated with the oil. Spread out on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Roast until the broccoli is just soft, about 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Note: For a little added heat for the adults, sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes in before roasting.
