There is a new online service that families around NYC and the surrounding suburbs are using to solve the age-old dilemma of being at home, with no idea what to do as your kids complain that they’re bored. It can take hours to search the web for fun things to do with the kids in your area. The site is called Feelday — and they curate great family activities, producing personalized guides of things to do based on your zip code, your mood (outdoorsy, wild, relaxed, etc.), your budget, the age of your kids, and even the weather forecast.
For example, if your kids are feeling ‘sporty’ but it’s 100 degrees outside, Feelday might suggest you go kayaking on the Hudson River; or if you’re feeling ‘creative,’ take a free Saturday Sculpture Workshop at the Socrates Sculpture Park.Given that one of the biggest tech headlines recently was how the web is driving us crazy — making us more depressed, anxious, stressed, and prone to obsessive-compulsive and attention-deficit disorders, Feelday’s goal is to use information online to get you offline.
